Then you go for a wee break in NYC and this is there….
No lack of things to gawp at in NYC, here are the best shots from the recent jaunt to the grande apple
This was in the toilet of a drift store…..
Never a massive fan of religion but this makes a little more sense
So if religion needs security then we are all screwed then right….?!
Little word in you ear
Then I went shopping
We have all been there, you finish at the pub at about whatever a clock, someone makes the call and it is ‘back to mine’ territory. The next stop is the booze store, more than likely selling you drinks past the legal trading hour.
If you are anything like my lot then there will be a mixture of vodka, cider, vino, some random spirit for downing and then beer and more than likely Red Stripe. In a pub you would rarely choose it but in a gig or for an after party it seems right.
This great film shot in Dalston shows the scene of which I am speaking. With of course a lil twist, the shop comes alive and starts playing a tune that is always a fixture of any good self respecting East London after party. To say this rings a bell is to do it an injustice. Simple. Cheap. Clever. Funny. Familiar. Red Stripe.
Apparently you should tweet #RSCornerShop
5Pointz in Long Island, NYC. This is a tricky one. It is visually pretty inspiring and has become a graffiti mecca of sorts, known worldwide and attracting artists young, old, famous, infamous, good, bad and ugly. It was created as a place where artists could come and paint to their hearts content without the worry of prosecution thanks to a guy called Pat Dillilo.
That might be the thing that be the one thing that actually is a draw back. I always liked the idea of discovering the art and scribbles and not being spoon-fed it. I liked the idea that graf artists would have to work in the cover of dark, ready to make like Usain at any minute for fear of the fluff. The idea of have a safe sanitised area to create their ‘illegal’ pieces doesn’t ring true….
Now who sounds like a tosser. Fuck it…. is it great check it out!
Just a few snaps from the NYC trip just gone. Still to come random art works, Brooklyn graf and 5Pointz
A day after the biggest politics show in the world, SF brings you something much smaller but equally important. Office politics and more specifically Mug Policy
Final shots from the soon to be most attractive pile of rubble since the Berlin Wall fell over 20 years ago.
Hats tipped to Hugo and Sholto at id-iom
You haven’t seen it? Where the ruddy hell have you been? SF has spent the last 6 months every evening regular as clockwork, 11 to 12 pm watching Walt on become one hell of a dark bastard and learning how to cook my own pure blue meth.
The series has a cult following both sides of the pond and artists have picked up their crayons and thrown pretty pictures on canvas. Exposure Gallery and Netflix will be showing a 24hour only exhibition of the 17 artworks from Thursday 1st November, it is open to the public on Friday.
Sneak peak bitches.
ps. I really don’t like Skyler
