Kanye + Porn = Mind Boggling

Eyes at actual size

It is Friday and therefore there should a level of craziness, a little bit of something smutty, something to get the excitement going for two days of freedom.

People I give you Kanye West and his take on what porn should be in collaboration with Anja Rubik. The man, sorry The Miracle has moved on from fashion, acting, music, directing and general operations of legend to turn his hand to helping the world to get off.

I love this because it is arty, kinky and dark but it feels more like a Madonna video from the early 90’s I can not imagine to many guys sticking this one to beat the meat… can you?

Another example of our King of Everything giving us an insight into the crazy world of the Jeezy.

Nike – Urban icon from first to now

First real trainers I owned, the first ones I remember feeling proud of, the first ones that I went to bed wearing, the ones I spent hours before bedtime lacing, re-lacing and then then finally deciding on a look I liked, they were Nike. I dabbled with Reebok, the Hexalite were a nice shoe, Pump looked great too. I tried out the 3 stripes with Adidas Samba amongst others but it never really stuck. Then there was some time with Puma, I even had the Discs which were an awfully designed shoe. I had Champion suede basketball boots in red and turquise, I had the Hi-Tec tennis shoes when I was being ironic, Dunlop Greenflash while being a student, I have done the Vans skate shoes amongst other attempts to pretend I was a skater. Then there was the time of just wearing plain plimpsols, minimal indie uniform as it was and is.

Today, one brand has remained King and Queen of my footwear. Nike has remained numero uno. Here are a few of the current faves.

The re-imagined classic

Nike Air Huarache 2012

The limited edition

Nike Air Force NY

The urban classic

Nike Air Max 1 – 2009

The B-ball don

Nike Air Fly Top – 2010

Still bust out the plimpsols but always have a Nike in reserve

Watch this

I have a bit of a watch fetish, so far I have over 40 and that number will only continue to swell, there is no doubt about that.

I think a watch tells you a lot about a person, a timepiece speaks volumes about your style and character and also shows you have some appreciation for time and keeping to it.

I always find it weird that people only have one watch when you have different shoes, shirts and jackets for different occasions. I mean you do not have to go as crazy as me and have one in every colour of the rainbow, but then again why not?

Here are a few I have seen recently that may well be joining my watch draw…

Any other Watches to suggest people?

Skindeep – Julien Palast

Rubbered sickpack +…….

Spotted this today and thought it looked amazing, very beautiful but pretty damn erotic too me thinks. Julien Palast has shrink wrapped some clearly beautiful people, this would not work with fatties but with the 00% fat on these they look amazing

Ass shot

The sixpack through the rubber creates some amazing contours and shapes and that with the colour projected onto the surface it looks brilliant.

Lego + Graffiti = Great success

Every kid loved lego, building stuff and making ridiculous things just from a load of random bricks and your imagination. It has got far more sophisticated these days and the pieces are made in a multitude of sizes, shapes and it is all becoming a bit too perfect in my humble opinion.

Just recently I made an airport, with a boat port, a zoo, guarded by monsters (this was for my 5 year old bro)

I digress… Things I like, lego and streetart, the combination of the two was bound to be fecking cool. I like the simplicity in it, I like the fact it is in such a public place and I like that it doesn’t seem to be a brand thing. Lego is one of those brands who get coverage for everything they do, there are a few who do not have to try, examples… Lego, Marmite, Apple.

Anyway…. before…

Nolego

And then…

Tadalego

Shupa…

Now I am off to build a lego super car

La Moss – Haute Coiffure

For anyone who has followed SF for a while will know that Kate Moss is held in pretty high regard. You see SF likes beautiful things, with an edge, that are dangerous, that are forever young, that you would equally find on a wall on the dirty underpass as you would hanging in the home of a rich fashionista. She has the spirit of ne’er do well but with buckets of cash. Plus she is a dirty bit of kit…. Got to love la Moss

Nothing tastes as good a coiffure looks….

Dr Dee – Preview

Dr Dee is the newest output from the ever busy Mr. Damon Albarn, since his days in Blur he has reinvented himself through various guises, and he has done it without ending up being a fat cheese chomping foppish cnut. Bravo Albarn for putting together this opera

Damo

Now Dr Dee or John Dee as he was also known was a mathematician, astrologer and magician amongst other things, he was supremely intelligent and his open minded ideas and search for knowledge and experiences ultimately led to his demise. Without giving the game away, his beliefs in other worlds lead to him making a decision which would ultimately cost him the one thing he loved the most.

Epic costumes

The show is visually brilliant and combines a great set with an elevated band area where Albarn sits with his cronnies, he plays guitar throughout and acts as a sort of watchman / narrator, singing some parts of the opera. With the creepy and intense set design there is a brilliant light display tracking mathematical equations against screens as the story unfolds. The second half opens with a brilliant full stage light display while the cast perform beneath, huge grids reminiscent of the Matrix build across the stage with numbers, shapes and quotage. I clearly could not take pictures but found these…

My afternoon view

This was the preview before the show has a short run at the London Coliseum, the opera came about following Albarn’s first foray into opera with Monkey: Journey to the West, the idea for Dr Dee came when comic book author Alan Moore suggested Albarn and collaborator Jamie Hewlett should use this as the basis for their opera over their original idea of superheroes. In the finish Albarn worked with Rufus Norris as Moore stepped aside for one reason and another.

My advice…. go see it. I have always wanted to see an opera and this is a good entry level one, even your heather mates might find this accessible… maybe

Canal knowledge

If StandardFact should say one thing, it is that you need to get yourself down on to the canals of East and North London, literally the best and most imaginative scribblings that you are likely to find.

This is my fave piece I have seen. Brass, I know little about him / her / them but will endeavour to find out more. Unless anyone can fill me a little bit.

What to say…?

Every wall tells another story, if tourists get lost on their way to the Olympics they might actually find themselves learning some truths about the Eastend, vibrant does not cover it. These two characters above would make brilliant kid’s cartoon characters… sans the swastika, unless it was the original Hindu version or the Buddhism version or the Jainism version.

Then there is this wee chap…

Like an angry westie

And finally the money shot, everyone likes the money shot

Money money money
